Alisa Powers, PhD
Founder & Clinical Director
Dr. Powers hails from northern New Jersey and graduated from Barnard College at Columbia University before pursuing her doctorate in clinical psychology at Long Island University. She is currently on faculty at Weill Cornell Medicine - New York Presbyterian Hospital where she trains doctoral students in CBT interventions and techniques. She is the Director of Training at the Hallowell Center of NYC where she supervises doctoral students and hosts monthly meetings on topics related to mental health.
Dr. Powers is an expert in providing evidenced-based interventions that target symptoms of ADHD and related concerns. She is passionate about her work with people of all ages and backgrounds, especially girls and women who frequently mask mental health symptoms. She recently appeared on a segment featured on Good Morning America that highlighted the rise of ADHD diagnoses in women.
In addition to her work with patients and colleagues, Dr. Powers enjoys spending time with family and friends.
